Formula 1, how to prepare it?

Formula 1 Herbalife

If you are wondering how to prepare the Formula 1, we will immediately explain how to do it.

The Herbalife Formula 1 can be mixed with milk, soy milk, or water (and possibly with the product Protein Drink Mix) to create a delicious smoothie that can replace up to two meals a day as part of a weight loss meal plan. This meal replacement shake provides the nutrients you need every day, but does it without unwanted calories, fat, salt and sugar.

But for Formula 1 smoothies to be filling and satisfying, they need to be prepared properly. This will ensure that they are providing balanced nutrition as well as adequate protein and calories for proper hunger management.

To meet these protein and calorie guidelines, we recommend adding a serving of fruit or vegetables to one of the following base mixes. If you add fruit, remember to calculate the caloric value of the fruit it will add to these totals.

Mix 1:

• 2 scoops of Herbalife Formula 1 shake

• 2 scoops of Herbalife Protein Drink Mix

• 230-250ml of water

Mix 2:

• 2 scoops of Herbalife Formula 1 shake

• 230-250 ml of skimmed, semi-skimmed or soya milk

With Skim Milk - CALORIES: 170 | PROTEINS: 17 g

For a thicker smoothie, add 3 to 5 ice cubes and blend on low speed for a few minutes.

You can of course ask your Herbalife Independent Distributor more recipes for Formula 1 smoothies.

However simple it is to do, sometimes our customers get doubts about what can or cannot be done to prepare for Formula 1. Or, someone wonders if it's better prepared one way than another. Let's talk about details, nothing striking but it is worth addressing the topic to clarify things.

Question 1: Blender or shaker?

Let's start with the question "Should I use a blender or shaker when making my Formula 1?"

The shaker is more convenient as you can simply add all the ingredients inside, shake it and drink. However, the mixability of the shaker can hardly be compared to that of a more powerful blender. If you don't mix the powder well, you could end up with a lumpy smoothie, which is never good.

With the shaker we suggest making sure you always add the liquid first and then the powder to minimize the chance of clumping. Then give it a nice, long shake before consuming it.

However, whenever possible, we like to use a blender because you can get a super creamy, frothy texture. Just make sure your blender has enough power to crush ice if you want to add this ingredient that we recommend including for some preparations.

Bottom Line: Both are fine, but always use a blender rather than a shaker whenever possible. This is to get the best result. And if you want to take your smoothie around with you, you can also prepare it using your blender and carry it inside your shaker.

Question 2: Milk or Milk Alternatives?

Now let's talk about the second component to make the perfect Herbalife smoothie.

One of the most common questions we get asked by our customers is "Can you make Herbalife Formula 1 Shake with just water?"

The answer is: "Yes, but..." Preparing the Formula 1 smoothie with only water would not allow you to get a good taste and you would leave out the protein component from the smoothie which is really important to provide your body with all the quality nutrients.

You have then 3 options:

  1. Use regular milk
  2. Use a milk alternative (almond milk, soy milk, oat milk…)
  3. Use the Protein Drink Mix + water

Therefore, the option we propose is to prepare the F1 smoothie with water only if you also use the PDM. This way you keep calories low but protein and important minerals like calcium high.

But which option should you choose for the best taste and result?

All Formula 1 Shake powders are now completely vegan. So if you are following a vegan diet you will need to use 250ml - 300ml of a milk alternative to make the final product suitable for your dietary requirements.

If you're not vegan, it might be better to use one of the other options as milk alternatives are usually lower in protein.

As a rule, the Formula 1 Shake can be prepared with 250ml - 300ml of semi-skimmed milk. Ideally, use organic milk to make sure it's as natural as possible.

However, regular milk has some sugar and doesn't provide as much protein as the last option which is Protein Drink Mix + Water.

A protein drink mix is the best option. Herbalife Protein Drink Mix is a whey-based milk alternative (non-vegan) to give your shake more protein, less sugar and a much creamier taste.

Question 3: "How much liquid to use?"

We recommend the following alternatives: Use less liquid if you like to agitate the components more to make the final product thicker. If you like smoothies that are more liquid, use more of the liquid component. Simple.

Quantities range from 230ml (minimum), up to 400ml.

Experiment with different amounts the first few days to find the texture that works best for you.

Question 4: “What are the best flavors of Formula 1?”

Formula 1 has so many incredible tastes. This can make it difficult to decide which ones to choose! Here is a description of some flavors available so you can choose the right one for you:

  • Vanilla cream: Great natural taste, versatile and great to mix with fruit and other flavours
  • Chocolate Delight: If you are a chocolate lover, you will also love this Herbalife flavour
  • Banana Cream: exactly what you imagine, banana taste, sweet and creamy
  • Strawberry Delight: if you're a fan of the classic, and creamy, strawberry milkshake, this is for you!
  • Berries: fruity taste, similar to a juice
  • Chocolate and mint: sweet, chocolaty but also refreshing
  • Crunchy biscuit: basic vanilla flavor with chocolate pieces
  • Caffellatte: for all latte and coffee lovers
  • Spiced apple: sweet and fragrant

Combine two flavors together (1 scoop each) to create your own personalized smoothie. Some of our favorite combos are:

  • Banana Cream + Chocolate
  • Vanilla Cream + Strawberry Delight
  • Dark Chocolate + Caffellatte

Question 5: "What ingredients can I add to Formula 1?"

Want to vary the taste a bit? Don't be afraid to experiment by adding other ingredients to your smoothie.

You can add fruit, nuts, peanut butter, veggies, or anything else you like. Again, you may prefer using a blender to combine everything together.

Here it is below 3 ricette Herbalife which you can try.

Ricetta 1

Ricetta 2

Ricetta 3

Keep in mind that adding other ingredients will change (increase) the calories in your smoothie. So always make sure you add ingredients that align with your goal.

You need more protein? If yes, Formula 1 can be mixed together with Protein Drink Mix to get a total of 24 grams of protein. Or you can add this second product  within your meal plan to create smoothies to use as a snack.

Remember that protein is important to help build and maintain muscle mass and can help control hunger.

With so many flavors and Formula 1 recipes to choose from, it's highly unlikely you'll get bored of its taste. However, this hypothesis cannot be excluded.

But when people get tired of drinking smoothies, it's often because they taste the same day after day, or they don't add healthy additions to their smoothies (like fruit or vegetables). You can also change the texture or temperature of your smoothies, for example.

Make smoothies thicker by adding ice or chia seeds or using frozen fruit. Or try a hot smoothie: mix two scoops of Formula 1 with a few tablespoons of water or milk in a cup of coffee until smooth. Heat about 200ml of water or milk in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stove until hot. Gradually add the hot liquid to the mixture in the cup, stirring constantly.

And then, experiment and test new flavors of Formula 1 from time to time. You can too mix two flavors (one scoop of each flavor) to get even more combinations or opt for other additions of healthy ingredients such as: fruit, vegetables, peanut butter or yogurt.

And don't forget to include the caloric value of your add-ons if you want to track calories.

Now that you know everything you need to know to prepare a Herbalife Formula 1 smoothie, and a few more secrets to get the perfect taste for you, all you have to do is get to work with the recipes that have impressed you the most. Using meal replacements to lose weight is effective for a great many people. When you replace a typical meal (which usually totals 300-500 calories or more) with a smoothie that provides just 170 calories, you'll significantly reduce your daily calorie intake. This may allow you to create the caloric deficit necessary for the long-awaited weight loss to occur.

Of course, it is always a good idea to follow a diet which, while not involving major limitations, allows the body to receive all the foods that allow it to stay healthy, excluding those that damage it. In summer, for example, the consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables is a must, which allow you to benefit from essential vitamins and minerals.

It's always smart to discuss the use of any supplement with your doctor. It doesn't matter if the supplement or weight loss product is natural or herbal, it can still cause harm. Herbal products can interact with each other or with your current medications to create problems. Your doctor will be able to evaluate the product and your medical history to provide a personalized recommendation.

Herbalife is the only food supplement brand that boasts the presence of 25 of its products inside the medical record of general practitioners (a booklet that presents all the recommended drugs and food supplements) being tested and approved by 93 Ministries of Health.

Beyond the undoubted quality of Herbalife products that can boast this important title to demonstrate their value, we must also remember that, on the other hand, the modern world is facing a real food emergency and it is increasingly difficult to find food products of high value for the human body on the market.

It's a sad truth, and it even sounds like a paradox, but millions of people around the world are both overfed and undernourished. The fact is that malnutrition can exist even when calories are plentiful if too much food with too little nutritional value is eaten. The modern food supply is overloaded with highly processed, high-calorie, mouth-watering foods that lack vital nutrients. Also, most of us aren't as physically active as we should be.

As a result, many of us have become both overnourished and undernourished. With a diet that provides an excess of calories and a deficiency of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, there's a good chance our health will suffer.

The way to deal with this food emergency is to give more and more weight to the foods they contain a good deal of nutrition in the calories they provide. And meal replacements, like protein shakes, can do this job well. Not only can they provide balanced nutrition, but they have also been proven to be safe and effective tools for weight loss and fitness management.

Protein shakes can serve a variety of purposes. Some shakes are designed to simply supplement your diet with protein, while others are more nutritionally complete and can be used to replace a meal. We have both types of Herbalife smoothies. Our best-selling product worldwide is Formula 1. In 2015, They were sold 67.1 million cans of Formula 1, which equals 1.53 billion servings!

When prepared according to label instructions, a Formula 1 smoothie is simply that: a healthy, balanced meal that's easy to prepare. This delicious meal replacement shake provides protein, fat and carbohydrates for good nutrition and weight management. While most Formula 1 varieties are made with soy protein, other protein sources are available including whey, milk, pea and sesame.

A portion of Formula 1 with 250 ml of skimmed milk contains:

  • 25 grams of protein
  • 21 vitamins and minerals
  • 30% of your recommended daily intake of antioxidant vitamins A (as beta carotene), C ed AND
  • More than 25% of the recommended daily intake of potassium
  • No cholesterol And no trans fats

The benefits of nutritionally balanced protein shakes are numerous:

They can help meet nutritional needs.

They are fast and convenient. The fact that protein shakes are portable is a huge plus. Once your smoothie has been blended, it's ready to use.

I'm available in many flavours And they make it easy to keep track of your calorie intake.

As we've already mentioned, you can also customize your smoothie with all sorts of add-ons we've talked about: proteins, fruits, vegetables, and more.

Let's do an analysis on supplementary ingredients.

Proteins. Needs vary from person to person – age, gender, build, and body composition all play a part. Protein powder already comes in your shake, but adding extra protein is one of the easiest ways to get more protein, and tailor the amount to your personal needs. Plus, they melt perfectly and don't change the flavor. To provide extra protein, you can also use fat-free or low-fat dairy supplements such as cottage cheese, cottage cheese or yogurt.

Fruits and vegetables. In addition to the typical berries or bananas, you could try mixing it with less typical fruits such as kiwi, pomegranate seeds, guava or melon. Vegetables like cooked carrots, squash or beets are great because they are slightly sweet. Plus, it's an easy way to consume more servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

Beneficial fats. Seeds like flax, hemp, chia or sunflower add some texture to your smoothie and give a little boost to minerals (especially copper and zinc) and omega-3 fatty acids. Nut butters, whether almond or pistachio, also contribute zinc and copper, as well as adding protein and fiber.

Rolled oats, chia seeds, flax seeds, apples and berries help increase your intake of soluble fiber, the type of fiber that traps water contributing to feelings of fullness. Carrots, most other seeds, and leafy greens can increase the amount of insoluble fiber in your diet -- the kind of fiber that helps keep you regular. You can also add the product Herbalife Multifibre, which provides both types of fiber.

Spices and herbs. Try a dash of sweet cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, or cloves, or add some spice with ginger or even a dash of white pepper. Because they are plant products, spices also contribute phytonutrients and antioxidants. Herbs might not be something you've thought about adding to your smoothie, but there are plenty of herbs that work really well, like mint, rosemary, thyme, or basil.

Extracts and peels. A little fresh lemon or orange zest adds a fresh, zesty flavor to your smoothie, and there are healthy oils in citrus zest, too. It also doesn't hurt to keep all kinds of extracts on hand, like pure vanilla, almond, coconut, and peppermint for an extra kick of flavor.

Digestive support. Herbalife Herbal Aloe Concentrate adds a mild, sweet flavor to your smoothie and helps support nutrient absorption in the digestive tract. Yogurt contains probiotics, the "good bacteria" that help support digestive health. Ginger and peppermint are both known to aid in the digestive process. Chia seeds are a very rich source of soluble fiber, which supports the growth of good bacteria in the gut.

So even if you start with a simple vanilla smoothie, the add-ons allow for an almost infinite variety of options, making protein shakes a versatile choice for people craving healthy, on-the-go eating.
