Herbalife SKIN: the line for your skin care routine
What is a skincare routine?
By Skincare routine we mean all the habits related to the basic care and conservation of your largest organ: your skin! It plays an important role in protecting you from external pathogens and contributes to maintaining the health of your internal organs. But, in turn, your skin requires a little attention from you to keep it functioning properly.
When we talk about skincare, we're talking about the science-backed ways to improve both the appearance and function of your skin to address and manage both cosmetic and medical concerns.
For example, while you can't slow down the passage of time, with a finely tuned skincare regimen you can reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, and all sun damage. You can also manage some minor skin problems, such as dryness or oiliness, quite effectively.
For those with specific skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and acne, skin care is not always optional. On the one hand, treating a specific skin condition often means adopting a particular skin care regimen, and on the other hand, your condition can make your skin more sensitive to ingredients and products in general. Finding a skincare routine that works becomes indispensable.
Before figuring out what to include in your skincare routine, it's important to know your skin type and if you have any major concerns you want to address. It's also good to remember that everyone's regimen is individual: what works for your friends or family may not be ideal for you.
To figure out your skin type, think about how your skin feels with no makeup or products on it a few hours after you shower. If it looks a little oily or shiny, you probably have oily skin. Or, conversely, your skin may feel dry or flaky. If you have dry skin in some places and oily skin in others (usually in the "T" zone), you have combination skin. If you do not have any of these conditions, it can be said that your skin is currently "normal". Knowing your skin type will help steer you towards products that will manage dryness and oiliness while effectively taking care of any other skin concerns you have.
If your skin tends to get irritated when you use certain products, if you've ever had an allergic reaction to a product and perhaps suffer from certain conditions you may have sensitive skin. People with sensitive skin may also have oily, dry, combination or normal skin, but may need to take extra care in selecting products that do not cause irritation or exacerbate skin conditions.
There is no need to consult a dermatologist before starting a skin care routine. But if you have sensitive skin (or aren't sure if your skin qualifies as sensitive) and if you're looking to address any skin concerns (such as acne or hyper-pigmentation), it's important to first consult a board-certified dermatologist who can guide you through. the process.

Your diet has a big impact on your appearance and overall image. While good quality cosmetic products such as Herbalife face and body creams are a must for attention to detail, a healthy and nutritious diet will make you radiate beauty from the inside out in a more general way. For truly beautiful and shiny hair, supple skin, a radiant smile and sparkling eyes, here are the minerals and nutrients you need to include in your diet.
For healthy, shiny hair there are a number of important minerals and nutrients that you should include in your diet. Hair is made up of a protein called keratin, which gives the hair strand structure and strength, so a diet high in protein will help repair and prevent damage. Iron aids in healthy blood flow, which supplies nutrients to the hair follicle and maintains a healthy growth cycle. To maximize the absorption of iron in your diet, consume foods containing iron in combination with foods rich in vitamin C. Omega 3, vitamin B and zinc are all important for the production of natural oils that moisturize the scalp, help prevent dandruff and make your hair soft and shiny.
Eat: chicken, fish, eggs, nuts, broccoli, blueberries, green leafy vegetables, carrots, squash, avocado, salmon, walnuts.
Water, water, water! Both nutritionists and dermatologists rely on water to eliminate toxins and keep the skin truly hydrated. Omega 3s will also make your skin soft and supple, while Vitamin A will help with congestion as it is used to grow and repair skin tissue. To prevent bags under your eyes, snack on yogurt, which is high in amino acids.
Eat: Carrots, mangoes, pomegranates, squash, yogurt, avocados, salmon, nuts, leafy greens, peppers, green tea, and broccoli.
The eyes are the windows to the soul, so give them some sparkle! Lutein is a super-potent natural pigment, found in various foods of animal and plant origin, that helps protect your eyes from the damage of ultraviolet rays and make them clearer and brighter. Vitamins C, A, E and zinc are also very important for maintaining eye health.
Eat: Oranges, mangoes, strawberries, carrots, eggs, papayas, spinach, yogurt, chicken, nuts.
Our teeth are the first point of contact for food and therefore what we eat has a direct effect. Avoid foods and drinks high in acids and sugars such as chocolate or diet sodas, which are associated with tooth decay. Instead, look for foods with calcium and vitamin D to keep your teeth strong, malic acid to whiten, and crunchy greens to exfoliate and boost saliva production, which helps neutralize bacteria. The bromelain enzyme in pineapple breaks down plaque and acts as a natural stain remover.
Eat: cheese, milk, yogurt, pineapples, strawberries, celery, carrots, apples, salmon, eggs, nuts, raisins.
